Labradorite

Labradorite is one of Feldspar minerals and its well-known gemstone for its labradorescence visual effect. This particular effect displays spectral colors from inside the stone once a piece is in contact with light. Colors can range from green to blue, from black to white and sometimes red and orange colors are visible as well. Whenever Labradorite piece shows full spectrum of colors, it is considered to be more valuable. The name origin of this gemstone is associated with location that it was first discovered – Labrador (Canada).
